The third URA consortium workshop on the German side took place at Habitat Unit at TU Berlin, assembling principal investigators, researchers, research assistants and related master students from the project. Participants had the opportunity to critically reflect on the empirical findings observed during the field trip in Huangyan-Taizhou in October and November 2019. In addition, Prof. Dr Sigrun Langner led the team in developing the strategic Raumbild methodology to further identify overlapping research topics and facilitate a critical discussion of potential local transformation laboratories (Reallabore). Team discussions also focused on the upcoming Sino-German consortium meeting, science and policy dialogue, and multi-stakeholder workshops planned for February 2020 — the aim of which is to strengthen knowledge transfer and collaborative research processes involving diverse Chinese actors from the Huangyan-Taizhou region and beyond.
