URA Consortium Workshop and Excursions in Huangyan District

On October 9th 2019, the German URA consortium team was joined by Prof. Yang Guiqing of Tongji University at Shatan Village, Huangyan. Prof. Dr Yang is the PI and chief coordinator of the URA project on the Chinese side of the consortium. His team has been deeply engaged in rural revitalisation projects in Huangyan District in recent years. The two-day workshop focused on further developing the URA research design and conducting excursions to several rural revitalisation projects across Huangyan District.

During the excursion, Prof. Dr. Yang led the team on a tour of his team’s projects at Zhi street, Vaciyao village and Gong orange garden. Local political administrators from both the various villages and districts of Huangyan accompanied the tour and responded to the team’s questions around the local policy and planning dynamics.
